2. Summary
schall-ai.de We inform about and sell our software. We count page views using a statistic that runs on our own server and does not use cookies (section 7); a cookie only stores your selection in the cookie notice (section 6). We do not use advertising trackers and embedded content from other providers; only when you purchase a plugin does the checkout of our merchant Paddle open (section 9). Fonts, images and downloads are stored on our own server. We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the operation of the website, for your purchase and your license, or if you write to us.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. A contract for order processing has been concluded with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
When a page is accessed, the server processes technically necessary information: IP address, date and time, requested address, previously visited page, browser and operating system. This serves to ensure the safe and stable delivery of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server logs are deleted after a maximum of seven days, in individual cases longer if they are needed to investigate an attack.
4. Contact form and email
The contact form uses the WordPress plugin Forminator, which runs on our server. When you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your request is for a contract; otherwise, our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The details from the form are stored in the database of this website and forwarded to us by email. We delete them when your request is completed and there are no statutory retention obligations. No disclosure to third parties takes place.
5. Cancellations via the website
Under Cancel contracts here We process the name, email address, the terminated contract, license key or order number if requested, the type, reason, and date of termination, as well as the date and time of receipt. We need the information to carry out the termination, to confirm receipt to you, and to document the termination (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR, § 312k BGB). They are stored in the administration of this website and sent to us and you by email. We delete them three years after the end of the year in which the contract ended.
6. Cookies and storage in the browser
This website does not use cookies for analysis or advertising purposes. Specifically:
- Cookie notice (CookieYes): We store your selection in the cookie „cookieyes-consent“ cookie so that the notice does not appear every time you visit the site. It contains a random identifier and your selection and is valid for up to one year. To verify your decision, the plugin logs it with this identifier, date and time, country and truncated IP address (Art. 6(1)(c) and Art. 7(1) GDPR). CookieYes runs on our server and is not connected to the provider’s service; no data is transmitted to it.
- Visitor statistics (Independent Analytics): does not set any cookies and does not otherwise store anything in your browser, for example in local storage (section 7).
- Contact form (Forminator) and cancellation form: does not set any cookies and does not load any content from other providers, such as no captcha services. Your information is only transmitted when submitting the form (sections 4 and 5).
- Administration of the website: When registering, WordPress sets technically necessary cookies, only for our editors.
- Checkout from Paddle and license area: set their own cookies necessary for their operation only when you use them (sections 9 and 10).
These cookies are absolutely necessary for the respective service (§ 25, Para. 2, No. 2 TDDDG); consent is not required for this. The legal basis for the associated processing is our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f GDPR). You can delete cookies in your browser at any time; the cookie notice will then reappear.
7th visitor statistics (Independent Analytics)
We count page views using the WordPress plugin Independent Analytics. It runs exclusively on our server, does not set any cookies and does not pass any data to third parties. When a page is accessed, a small script reports the request to our server, as well as clicks on links, such as downloads or to other websites. The plugin determines the country and city from your IP address and forms an identifier from the IP address, browser identifier and a random value, with which it detects recurring requests; the IP address itself is not stored by it.
The page accessed, the page from which you came, the links clicked, the time, device type, browser and operating system, as well as the country and city are stored. This allows us to identify you. We use the statistics to see which content is being read and how visitors find our pages. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-saving reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We store the entries as long as we need them for this analysis. You can object to the counting at any time (section 13).
8. Documents, images and downloads
The fonts (Instrument Sans, JetBrains Mono) are loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google or other font providers. Screenshots, manuals as PDF files, and the light versions of the plugins are also located on our server; a download is recorded in the server log just like any page load (section 3).
9th purchase via Paddle
Our plugins are sold by our merchant Paddle.com Market Limited, Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom, as the Merchant of Record. Only when you select „Buy“ on a plugin page does your browser load the Paddle checkout script (cdn.paddle.com) and opens the checkout; a simple page load does not establish a connection to Paddle. An exception is a payment link from a Paddle email, for example to change the payment method: it immediately opens the checkout.
What you enter in the checkout – email address, country, postal code, name, company name and VAT identification number, if applicable, as well as payment details – is processed by Paddle as its own controller in accordance with its Privacy Policy; Paddle may set its own cookies. We do not receive payment data. We receive the information that we need for your license from Paddle: email address, name and company name if applicable, country, product and tariff purchased, customer IDs, order and subscription status (paid, extended, cancelled, refunded). The legal basis is the fulfillment of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For the United Kingdom, there is an adequacy decision by the EU Commission.
10th license area and license service
The license area (konto.schall-ai.de) and the license service (licenses.markus-schall.deWe operate our own servers at ALL-INKL.COM in Germany. In the license area, you register with your email address and a link that is valid for 15 minutes; a technically necessary cookie keeps the registration, at most eight hours. We store your email address, your licenses and purchases, the websites on which a license is activated, cancellations, and the time of sign-ups and downloads there.
A plugin with active license connects to the license service: when activated, once a day for verification and when searching for updates. It transmits a random installation identifier, the address of the website (also the network address for multi-site installations), the type of environment (production, staging, development), the versions of WordPress, PHP and plugin, and the language of the website; the license key only once when activated. Light does not connect to the license service. The legal basis is the fulfillment of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete the data when the license expires and no longer have any retention obligations. You can access your data yourself in the license area.
11. Translations
The foreign language versions of this website are translated using AI before they are published. In this process, the texts of the website are processed, not visitor data.
12. Links to other websites
Links to other websites, such as the magazine markus-schall.de, are simple references. Only when you click a link do the privacy policies of the accessed page apply.
13. Your rights
You have the right to request information about the data we store about you, to have it corrected, deleted, or restricted from processing, to have your data transferred, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, such as visitor statistics. You can revoke your consent at any time for the future. A non-formal message to info@schall-ai.de That is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; for us, the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony in Hanover.
